Goa , , , for the first Time , , ,

One fine evening we were sitting in our office like all other days and was discussing the plans for New Years eve, Zeroing on what pub/bar we are gonna spend the night but then out of blue a friend (Vikram) suggested his wild idea of going to Goa from Delhi by road and Yes Lets do this , , , A trip that we will remember all our lives.

Mission : Traveling from Delhi to Goa by Road, covering Seven states, a distance of about 3700 kms.

Delhi > Haryana > Rajasthan > Gujarat > Daman & Diu > Bombay > Goa

Tools : My New Santro Xing “DL 3C AP – 1841”.

Players :

  1. Saurav da – that time “ Rum – Gum guy”
  2. Vikram Gahlot – “the Stuff guy” , He has stuff related with everything under the sun to talk about and Loves the other stuff as well (in fact more then Alcohol) , , , and I wonder if he ever heard of a term Called “maun vrat
  3. Atharva - The Bindaas Guy, or the cool guy whatever is ur take
  4. Rajesh Barnwal - The Poor Guy, actaully he was a mis fit in the goup
  5. ME or Gulrez Alam - The guy with the 2Cs , ,, Car and Camera
Journey : we left Delhi around 8:30 pm and by the time we reached Gurgaon it was about 10:00 pm on 28th Dec 2005, , , initially i was driving and since its my hard earned car (i am paying EMI's even now) and i thought its gonna be me and Saurav da (whom i trust alot) both of us can drive all the way and rest can easily sit and enjoy the journey andnow i realise how badly i was mistaken , , , anyways i took my first break after driving for about 7 hours and covernig about 525 kms, somewhere nearby Ajmer, actually crossing Ajmer.

Well its the most beautiful drive in India, i can say it for sure, and
those who have drien on this road from Ajmer till the end of Rajasthan, they will agree with me. beautiful Landscape and it changes very often, , , all that muddy mountains and some traces of a desert nearby and then after some time u see mines on your left written "ZAWAR MINES" as if its some Hollywood studio and some movie shooting is going on. . . and soon you ask yourself are you actually driving in India, , , beautiful roads and surroundings but yes when you notice truck coming in opposite direction then you finally realize it is India , , , our own Beautiful India.

we were driving the entire night of 28, entire 29th day and finally reached ou
r Bombay office at 3 am on 30th morning thinking that we will Chill for some 3 - 4 hours and will leave max by 8 but finally got up around 12 and left bombay around 3 pm with abother member on his bike to Goa added in the team.
and this is the drive that i will never forget in my life , , , drive from bombay to Goa is so beautiful and scary at night in all those ghat section and on a bike and in absolute Cold conditions , , , Man its worth experiancing , , , another part of the drive , there was one stretch which was absolute dark and we thought lets actually step out and see how scary it is but belive me the moment we looked at the sky, , , it is the view that you will never forget , , , so many stars, so many of them, i mean they were so many , , , i have seen stars even in a village night but so many , , i can bet that some of you might not have seen these many stars in the entire life . . . TRUE MAGICAL MOMENT...
Finally reached Goa at 6:30 am on 31st Morning. and then had fun in Goa , , ,we stayed their for 2 days and had planned to see the entire Goa but for both the days we were sitting on Calangut and Baga beachm, completely stonned and lost in our own trips.

BUT Remember we had to come back to Delhi by road also , , , unfortunately (or fortunately) Rajesh gave up and said he cant take it any more, so we started driving back and decided that we arfe gonna go all the way to delhi without stopping invetween...
another intersting happened we thot and actually went to bach called "kelava beach" on Mahrashtra border. Actually we had stopped for brakefast around there where this dhabe wala told us that its worth checking out , , , Man its definatly worth checking out , , , there was hardly anyone there and when we are having our trip on the beach we saw an island kind of a thing nearby and decidied to check that out as well , , , what wellas are we , , ,

Checkout the Photos hope you wll enjoy but not as much as i did in clicking them..
